The article doesn't mention that he actually got the gross misconduct penalty for spitting the blood at the feet of the referee while skating past. Basically the phlyers totally let a game get away from them going in tied 2-2 to the third and then giving up 3 quick goals, so they got frustrated. I watched the game and the "bad calls" where a result of poor phlyer play, not poor refereeing. Shame Roenick, shame!

Of course I'd be pretty pissed off at anyone within my view if I had been sticked in the eye the game before, my team was on a terrible losing streak and sticked again in this game twice, one of which from one of my own players! I feel a lengthy suspension cuming on! Hey Roenick, nice grill...
